A rather cloudy morning across western and central parts, with some patchy light rain about. However dry and bright in the east. The afternoon brings a mix of sunshine and showers for all, with a few heavier outbreaks developing. Maximum temperature 23 °C.
All staying dry through the evening and night with winds easing light across the mainland. Cloud increasing in the Great Glen towards dawn. Minimum temperature 8 °C.
A cooler day. Dry, bright start. Quickly turning cloudy and showery with later outbreaks merging to longer periods of rain at times and bringing the risk of thunderstorms. Maximum temperature 17 °C.
Rather cloudy with occasional rain, this focused in the west with the best of the shelter and afternoon highs towards Inverness.

A broad north to south split in the weather across the UK during this period. In the south it expected to be predominantly fine and dry, with spells of sunshine by day and clear spells overnight. Any rainfall that does occur will probably be light and patchy, with most places staying dry. Temperatures will likely be above normal for the time of year and it could be hot at times in the southeast. In the north, probably more changeable, especially at first. Here, conditions are expected to be cloudier with some unsettled spells of weather at times, bringing some rain and perhaps strong winds. Temperatures are expected to be close to normal or slightly above.

This pattern continues through early July with changeable conditions bringing a mix of fine and dry periods and some outbreak of rain or showers, which could be heavy and thundery at times. Temperatures are likely to be above average.
