Outbreaks of rain, heavy in places, then drier and brighter.
Today:
Mainly cloudy with outbreaks of rain, heavy and thundery in places, moving northeast across all parts. Becoming dry from the southwest through the afternoon with some sunshine coming through. Cooler than of late. Maximum temperature 20 °C.
Tonight:
The last of any rain soon clearing northeast, otherwise a dry and bright evening. Dry with clear spells overnight but some showers reaching Ayrshire, Arran and Kintyre later. Minimum temperature 10 °C.
Tuesday:
A dry and mostly sunny start but showers in the southwest will develop more widely by the afternoon. Best of the sunshine towards Oban and Mull. Maximum temperature 20 °C.
Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:
Mainly dry with sunny spells on Wednesday. Largely dry and bright on Thursday but perhaps some rain later. Sunshine and scattered showers on Friday. Feeling warm.
