Heavy showers persisting this evening, gradually easing through the early hours to leave clearer spells by dawn and just a few showers. Turning colder with brisk northerly winds. Minimum temperature 6 °C.

Saturday:

A mixture of sunny spells and a scattering of showers, some of these on the heavy side. Feeling rather cold especially when exposed to the strong northerly winds. Maximum temperature 12 °C.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

A chilly start to Sunday with sunny spells but turning cloudier with outbreaks of rain. Drier on Monday with showers possible on Tuesday. Rather cold and often breezy.

A changeable start to the period with low pressure near to the UK bringing periods of rain and strong winds. The wettest and windiest conditions are likely to be across the northwest with perhaps some decent drier interludes across the south and east. Around the turn of the month or into early November, wetter and windier conditions across the north and west are likely to extend more widely across the country. The detail is somewhat uncertain but it is likely that low pressure becomes established to the west of the UK allowing bands of rain to spread across the country at times. Temperatures perhaps little below average at the start of the period, but likely trending upwards with potential for a mild spell around the turn of the month.

Unsettled conditions are most likely through to the middle of November with showers or longer spells of rain across all areas at times along with spells of strong winds. Temperatures through this period are overall likely to be around or above average with any colder spells short-lived between weather systems. From mid-November, while there is an increased chance of more settled spells, the likelihood of whether settled or unsettled conditions are more prevalent are reasonably balanced.
