A bright day, with sunny spells and a scattering of showers. Winds generally lighter than Saturday, but still rather breezy near passing showers. Cloud amounts increasing later in the afternoon. Feeling a little fresher. Maximum temperature 13 °C.

Tonight:

Turning increasingly wet and windy through the evening and overnight. The rain turning heavy over the hills and mountains, particularly in the north. Minimum temperature 9 °C.

Monday:

A cloudy day is expected, with outbreaks of rain throughout the day. The rain will be heavy at times, particularly over the hills. Gusty winds but mild and muggy. Maximum temperature 16 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

Staying mostly cloudy through Tuesday and Wednesday, with further spells of heavy rain and brisk winds. Brighter Thursday with sunshine and heavy showers. Staying very mild throughout.

Changeable and at times unsettled weather is likely to continue into the start of this period, with low pressure dominating the UK. This means further showers or longer spells of rain at times. All parts could see some heavy rain, but it is likely that western areas will be wettest. Strong winds are likely at times, with gales possible in the west. Equally there should also be some drier or clearer interludes, these more prevalent further east. A transition to a less unsettled pattern is possible later in the period making drier interludes more common. Above average temperatures are most likely, with a reduced incidence of overnight frost and fog, compared to normal, especially at first.

A transition to a less unsettled pattern is possible through mid-November. With time, there is a greater chance of incidences of high pressure bringing more in the way of dry weather, also increasing the chances of overnight fog and frost. There may however still be periods of rain, showers, and stronger winds, especially in the west. Weather patterns are very uncertain during late November. Overall, near or above average temperatures are most likely though some colder spells are possible, especially should any prolonged settled spells develop.
