    Very windy with gales, locally severe in coastal and upland areas, especially during the morning. Scattered showers, heaviest and most frequent in the north, but occasional bright spells too. Feeling cool. Maximum temperature 16 °C.

    Tonight:

    Windy this evening with coastal gales at first but winds gradually easing overnight. Scattered showers, some heavy this evening, but many places turning dry overnight. Staying fairly mild. Minimum temperature 9 °C.

    Tuesday:

    A drier day to come albeit still the chance of a few showers. Sunny spells are likely through the morning, but any sunshine turning hazy through the afternoon. Still breezy. Maximum temperature 17 °C.

    Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

    Remaining changeable and often windy with rain at times. Some brighter periods are also likely. A chance of occasional coastal gales. Temperatures fairly close to the seasonal average.
