Showery rain at first, then clearer skies arriving after dark. Mostly dry during the first half of the night, however showers are possible later. Remaining breezy and particularly windy over higher ground. Chilly though not as cold as last night. Minimum temperature 7 °C.

Monday:

Showers are possible through the morning, especially in northern counties. Otherwise, turning generally dry with sunny spells developing for most. Staying breezy but feeling somewhat milder later as winds ease. Maximum temperature 13 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

Staying changeable through this period. Often bright with sunny spells on Tuesday, then perhaps cloudier on Wednesday and Thursday with rain at times. Gradually turning milder, though often rather breezy.

The end of October and first part of November is likely to be changeable with low pressure patterns tending to dominate, bringing spells of unsettled weather across the UK. This will mean showers or longer periods of rain will spread across most parts of the UK during this period. Some heavy rain is possible in all regions, but the largest totals will probably be across western areas. Strong winds are also likely at times, with a risk of gales. Between weather systems some short lived dry and bright intervals may develop, which bring the risk of overnight fog and frost. Temperatures overall though will probably be close to or slightly above average for the time of year.

Unsettled conditions will probably be dominant across the UK at first, with showers or longer spells of rain for many areas and a risk of strong winds. Temperatures are expected to be around normal. During the second half of November, the most probable outcome is for increasing amounts of dry and fine weather, although with some overnight fog and frost. Any wetter spells are most likely to affect the north of the UK.
