Patchy rain soon fades away this evening, leaving a dry but rather cloudy night. Chilly, though most places remaining frost free, with mist and patchy fog forming by dawn. Becoming rather breezy, especially along the coast and across the Pennines. Minimum temperature 8 °C.

Sunday:

Mainly settled, though still cloudy with a few spots of rain in the north. Light winds inland, but breezy along the coast. Feeling warm in the sunshine further south. Maximum temperature 19 °C.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

High pressure becomes more dominant bringing largely fine and settled weather. Bright and sunny each day after early morning fog clears, with temperatures climbing well above average. Breezy at times.

Following a widely fine and very warm spell through the week, temperatures are most likely to return back closer to average from the north during Thursday and Friday. Whilst a little rain is possible during this transition, most areas remaining largely dry. Largley fine but cooler conditions are then most likely over the weekend. However, likely cloudier and breezier at times across some northern areas with a chance of rain. Into the following week, conditions will probably turn more changeable overall, with dry, settled periods interspersed with some spells of wetter weather. This will bring some showers or longer spells of rain at times, which could be heavy and thundery in places. Temperatures will likely be around average.
