Monday:

Early showers, locally heavy, across Merseyside and Cheshire in particular. These fading through the morning with most places becoming dry with sunny periods. After a blustery start, winds easing. Milder. Maximum temperature 12 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

Staying changeable with a mixture of cloudy periods, sunny spells and possible showers on Tuesday and Wednesday. More generally wet on Thursday. Gradually turning milder and windy at times.

The end of October and first part of November is likely to be changeable with low pressure patterns tending to dominate, bringing spells of unsettled weather across the UK. This will mean showers or longer periods of rain will spread across most parts of the UK during this period. Some heavy rain is possible in all regions, but the largest totals will probably be across western areas. Strong winds are also likely at times, with a risk of gales. Between weather systems some short lived dry and bright intervals may develop, which bring the risk of overnight fog and frost. Temperatures overall though will probably be close to or slightly above average for the time of year.

Unsettled conditions will probably be dominant across the UK at first, with showers or longer spells of rain for many areas and a risk of strong winds. Temperatures are expected to be around normal. During the second half of November, the most probable outcome is for increasing amounts of dry and fine weather, although with some overnight fog and frost. Any wetter spells are most likely to affect the north of the UK.
