Widespread rain moving southeastwards through the morning, clearing eastern coasts around midday. Sunny spells through the afternoon, perhaps with the odd shower pushing into western parts, but generally dry for most. Fresh, blustery winds through the day, easing later. Maximum temperature 21 °C.

Tonight:

Any lingering showers in the west quickly easing, with some decent evening sunshine for most. Clear skies will lead to a dry night. Winds continue to ease through the evening. Minimum temperature 8 °C.

Wednesday:

Mostly fine on Wednesday with plenty of sunny spells. One or two isolated showers developing through the day. Breezy at times. Maximum temperature 19 °C.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

Sunny spells and showers through the period, occasionally heavy, and perhaps more persistent on Thursday. Mostly light winds expected, although likely becoming blustery at times in association with showers.

The unsettled weather of previous days is expected to continue at least through the start of this period, with many - if not all - areas seeing showers or longer spells of rain, and occasionally strong winds. At first, wet weather may be focussed across the south of the UK but it looks like this focus will fairly quickly shift northwards during the first few days. Towards the middle of June, there is an increased chance that high pressure will become more dominant, at least in the south. This would result in some longer periods of drier weather, although unsettled spells remain likely. Following a rather cool start to this period, there is a greater chance of warmer spells towards mid-June.

Changeable weather is most likely across the UK with a mixture of Atlantic weather systems moving in from the west interspersed with dry and sunny periods, perhaps with a bias towards longer dry spells early in the period. Temperatures are most likely to be near or slightly above normal, perhaps with some hot spells at times especially across the south.
