Sunday:

Dry in the morning with some brightness. Thickening cloud will bring rain northeast across all parts in the afternoon, clearing in the evening. Freshening southeasterly winds. Maximum temperature 15 °C.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

Unsettled on Monday with showers or some longer spells of rain. Mainly dry and brighter on Tuesday, a few showers at first. Rain spreading northeast on Wednesday.

Likely a continuation of the unsettled theme to begin. All areas are likely to see spells of wet and windy weather followed by drier and brighter but still showery interludes. The wettest conditions expected to be across western parts of the country. There are signs that through the course of this period, drier spells will start to become more prolonged, especially across the south and east of the country due to a greater influence of high pressure. Some wet and windy spells remain probable but these potentially more focused in the northwest. Temperatures likely around average early in this period and often feeling rather cool given unsettled conditions. Increased chance of some warmer spells later in the period.
