Today:

It will be a dry and mostly cloudy day but with some bright or sunny spells breaking through. Winds will be light and feeling a little cooler than in recent days. Maximum temperature 9 °C.

Tonight:

A largely dry evening with perhaps the odd shower in the east and clear spells elsewhere. Dry overnight with clear spells, leading to a cold night and a frost. Minimum temperature -1 °C.

Saturday:

It will be a largely dry day with bright and sunny spells, the odd isolated shower possible however. Turning cloudier in the evening with rain spreading eastwards. Maximum temperature 7 °C.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

Mostly cloudy with outbreaks of rain Sunday and Monday as winds strengthen, some drier and brighter intervals possible, especially east. Drier Tuesday with just the odd shower and sunny spells.

Much of this period looks like being largely dominated by high pressure, especially towards the south or southeast of the UK. This will mean many places seeing plenty of dry weather with variable cloud amounts and some sunshine, the best of this towards the south or southeast, but perhaps with some fog overnight. However, frontal systems are still likely to affect the north and west of the UK at times though, maybe also briefly affecting other parts, bringing some rain and strong winds, and perhaps a little snow to the high ground in the north. Temperatures will be near or above normal, although patchy overnight frost is still likely at times.

Little change at first, probably most unsettled in the west and northwest but drier and brighter toward the east and southeast. Lower confidence late-March but perhaps a trend toward more blocked and slow-moving weather patterns, although uncertain whether this will lead to cyclonic and so more unsettled weather or anti-cyclonic, more settled and maybe colder patterns in the vicinity of the UK. In general, some rain still probable but distribution of any wetter areas is extremely low confidence. Temperatures overall near or above average, perhaps with a slightly increasing chance this may trend colder toward the end of the month.
