This Evening and Tonight:

Remaining largely dry and cloudy. In the west, some late sunny spells in the evening and clear spells overnight, remaining cloudy in east with the odd spot of rain possible. Minimum temperature 8 °C.

Saturday:

Another dry and mostly cloudy day but with some bright or sunny spells, especially in the east. Light southerly winds and feeling a bit warmer than previous days. Maximum temperature 21 °C.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

Largely dry and settled conditions for Sunday and Monday with sunny spells. Cloudier on Tuesday with a band of rain spreading eastwards. Feeling increasingly warm.

Low pressure is expected to dominate this forecast period, with bands of rain and showers, perhaps slow moving at times which could bring some fairly wet days for some places. That being said there will be a good deal of dry weather in between showers and frontal bands of rain. Winds could be strong at times, especially around coasts as low pressure systems move through. As has been the case over the last few days, and normal for the time of year, confidence in details is lower than average. This is due to the activity in the tropical Atlantic, and how any systems move into mid-latitudes to help develop further low pressure systems which may affect the UK. Temperatures should be around average, still feeling pleasant enough during drier spells.

Most signs indicate low pressure will continue to dominate, and therefore unsettled or changeable weather looks more likely. This brings potential for periods of strong winds and spells of rain, but with spells of fair weather in between. Confidence through this period remains low. Temperatures are likely to be near to, or slightly above average overall.
