A wet start to the evening with rain moving eastwards, before clearing to a mix of clear spells and a few showers. The showers will be mainly near coasts where it will also remain breezy. Minimum temperature 9 °C.

Sunday:

A bright day with blustery showers. Heavy, sometimes thundery downpours are expected throughout the day, interspersed with drier, sunnier spells. Windy, especially along the coast. Maximum temperature 20 °C.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

Scattered showers continue, giving a distinctly autumnal feel to the new working week. Longer spells of rain are expected at times, but there will be some breaks to sunshine too.

Changeable and unsettled weather conditions are expected across the UK during this period with low pressure systems tending to dominate the overall pattern. This will mean showers or longer spells of rain will affect the much of the UK at times. Some heavy rain or showers are expected in places, most often in the west. Thunderstorms and hail are also possible, as are some spells of strong winds if any deep areas of low pressure form in the vicinity of the UK. Some short-lived spells of drier and more settled weather are also possible at times, especially later in the period when they may last a little longer. Temperatures will likely be close to average or slightly below overall, but may rise above at times in any drier, sunnier spells.
