Dull and damp start then becoming dry with sunny spells.

Today:

Dull start with low cloud, hill fog and patchy light rain or drizzle. Then becoming dry and brighter this morning, with some good sunny spells developing this afternoon. Remaining very mild with temperatures above average, and light winds. Maximum temperature 14 °C.

Tonight:

Dry and largely clear with light winds. As a result temperatures will fall much lower than recent nights, with a chance of patchy mist or fog forming. Minimum temperature 3 °C.

Sunday:

Any early mist and fog will clear, then temporary bright or sunny spells before cloud increases through the morning. Patchy light rain may arrive through the afternoon. Feeling slightly cooler. Maximum temperature 12 °C.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

Unsettled weather conditions with variable cloud and outbreaks of rain or showers interspersed with some clearer or brighter interludes. Chilly at times overnight with a few mist and fog patches.

The start of this period is likely to be remaining largely unsettled and overall mild across all except the north of Scotland, with bands or areas of rain potentially becoming slow-moving. Rain is more likely to be focused across the south and east. Locally strong winds may also accompany some of the rain. Some drier spells are also likely, the best of these probably towards the north west. Where skies are clear and winds light overnight, frost and fog are likely, the fog slow to clear. Towards the end of this period, we may see a transition towards more generally drier weather across the UK, and with this it is likely to turn a little cooler overall, with a greater risk of overnight frost.

Whilst the expected weather patterns during late November are very uncertain, there is a greater chance of spells of high pressure during this period, bringing more in the way of dry weather compared to the current weather pattern, which also increases the chances of overnight fog and frost. There will probably still be some spells of rain, showers, and stronger winds though, especially in the west. Hill snow is also a possibility, mainly in the north. Overall, near or slightly above average temperatures are most likely, though some colder spells are also possible, especially should any prolonged settled spells develop.
