This Evening and Tonight:

A few showers remain possible through the evening. Any early evening clear spells will then be replaced by thickening cloud as a band of heavy rain moves in from the west during the early hours. Strong winds will persist throughout. Minimum temperature 4 °C.

Saturday:

Cloudy with frequent showers through the morning. These easing and becoming more isolated during the afternoon, with some brighter spells developing. Winds will remain strong and gusty Maximum temperature 13 °C.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

Some brighter spells on Sunday morning before further bands of rain and strong winds arrive overnight. Remaining windy Monday and Tuesday, with further periods of heavy rain, especially across hills.

The changeable and at times unsettled weather is likely to continue to start this period, with low pressure dominating the UK. This means further showers or longer spells of rain at times. All parts could see some heavy rain, but it is likely that western areas will be wettest. Strong winds are likely at times, with gales possible in the west. Equally there should also be some drier or clearer interludes, these more prevalent further east. A transition to a less unsettled pattern is possible later in the period making drier interludes more common. Above average temperatures are most likely, with a reduced incidence of overnight frost and fog, compared to normal, especially at first.

A transition to a less unsettled pattern is possible through mid-November. With time, there is a greater chance of incidences of high pressure bringing more in the way of dry weather, but also increasing the chances of overnight fog and frost. There may however still be periods of rain, showers, and stronger winds, especially in the west. Weather patterns are very uncertain during late November. Overall, near or above average temperatures are most likely though some colder spells are possible, especially should any prolonged settled spells develop.
