Elsewhere scattered heavy showers initially, these mostly dying away this morning leaving sunny spells. Breezy everywhere. Maximum temperature 12 °C.

Tonight:

Dry with clear periods before a band of showers or longer spells of rain arrives from the west, these occasionally heavy with a chance of thunder. Temperatures initially quickly falling. Minimum temperature 3 °C.

Sunday:

Showers or spells of rain soon clear, then most places remain dry with sunny spells, although isolated light showers may arrive. Breezy with temperatures close to average. Maximum temperature 11 °C.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

Monday and Tuesday spells of rain, especially across the Pennines whilst further east drier and brighter conditions are possible. Wednesday patchy rain becomes more widespread. Milder throughout and often windy.

Changeable and at times unsettled weather is likely to continue into the start of this period, with low pressure dominating the UK. This means further showers or longer spells of rain at times. All parts could see some heavy rain, but it is likely that western areas will be wettest. Strong winds are likely at times, with gales possible in the west. Equally there should also be some drier or clearer interludes, these more prevalent further east. A transition to a less unsettled pattern is possible later in the period making drier interludes more common. Above average temperatures are most likely, with a reduced incidence of overnight frost and fog, compared to normal, especially at first.

A transition to a less unsettled pattern is possible through mid-November. With time, there is a greater chance of incidences of high pressure bringing more in the way of dry weather, also increasing the chances of overnight fog and frost. There may however still be periods of rain, showers, and stronger winds, especially in the west. Weather patterns are very uncertain during late November. Overall, near or above average temperatures are most likely though some colder spells are possible, especially should any prolonged settled spells develop.
