Today:

Cloudy but dry at first. Rain, heavy at times, spreads northeast for a time from late morning. Becoming dry with bright spells again from mid-afternoon. Maximum temperature 13 °C.

Tonight:

Dry with clear periods. Cloud increases from the southeast from midnight with outbreaks of rain, some heavy, soon following northwest. Minimum temperature 3 °C.

Monday:

Cloudy with outbreaks of rain, some persistent and heavy in the morning. Mostly dry later with bright spells east. Maximum temperature 11 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

Cloudy but dry early Tuesday. Outbreaks rain, persistent and heavy from Tuesday afternoon. Becoming drier Thursday.

The start of this period is likely to be remaining largely unsettled and overall mild across all except the north of Scotland, with bands or areas of rain potentially becoming slow-moving. Rain is more likely to be focused across the south and east. Locally strong winds may also accompany some of the rain. Some drier spells are also likely, the best of these probably towards the north west. Where skies are clear and winds light overnight, frost and fog are likely, the fog slow to clear. Towards the end of this period, we may see a transition towards more generally drier weather across the UK, and with this it is likely to turn a little cooler overall, with a greater risk of overnight frost.

Whilst the expected weather patterns during late November are very uncertain, there is a greater chance of spells of high pressure during this period, bringing more in the way of dry weather compared to the current weather pattern, which also increases the chances of overnight fog and frost. There will probably still be some spells of rain, showers, and stronger winds though, especially in the west. Hill snow is also a possibility, mainly in the north. Overall, near or slightly above average temperatures are most likely, though some colder spells are also possible, especially should any prolonged settled spells develop.
