    The evening will be mostly dry over Orkney but heavy snow showers over Shetland will spread south from the late evening. Continuing strong northerly winds. Minimum temperature -1 °C.

    Wednesday will stay cold with strong northerly winds. Frequent and heavy snow showers will continue throughout the day. Maximum temperature 4 °C.

    Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

    The strong northerly winds and frequent snow showers will ease and clear Thursday. A band of rain will pass east later Friday with scattered showers following during Saturday.
