This Evening and Tonight:
Cloud will thicken as the wind strengthens during the evening. After a dry start to the night, rain will spread east from midnight accompanied by strong to gale force southerly winds. Orkney will become dry towards morning. Minimum temperature 8 °C.
Tuesday:
A cool and windy day. Rain will clear Shetland as showers move over Orkney in the morning. Showers then spread to Shetland in the afternoon. Maximum temperature 13 °C.
Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:
Windy conditions Wednesday ease through Thursday and Friday. It will be cool with blustery showers on Wednesday and Thursday, these beginning to clear from Friday afternoon.
