Largely fine and dry with plenty of sunshine. Isolated heavy showers developing through the morning, particularly along the coast, but dying away by evening. Maximum temperature 21 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

Strong winds and rain on Tuesday morning, followed by scattered showers and winds easing overnight. Remaining unsettled Wednesday and Thursday with sunny spells, showers and blustery winds expected.

Temperatures are likely to be close to or slightly below normal at first, perhaps rising above average later, with a chance of a few hot days.

Changeable weather is most likely across the UK with a mixture of Atlantic weather systems moving in from the west interspersed with dry and sunny periods, perhaps with a bias towards longer dry spells early in the period.
