    East of England weather forecast

    Headline:

    Fine at first, windier with some rain later.

    Today:

    Starting fine with some sunshine, with this then turning hazy from the northwest as cloud and spells of rain spread in. This rain will then become heavier and more persistent during the afternoon. Maximum temperature 12 °C.

    Tonight:

    Cloud and rain clearing southeast, with scattered heavy showers following for a time, otherwise a drier and clearer night with winds easing. Chilly by dawn. Minimum temperature 3 °C.

    Monday:

    Perhaps on the cloudy and breezy side with showers, although these lighter than on Sunday. Still some sunny spells possible, mainly later as winds and showers ease. Temperatures near normal. Maximum temperature 12 °C.

    Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

    A quiet period weather-wise, with some sunny spells but rather a lot of cloud around at times, with a little rain perhaps most likely Thursday. Rather warm, but trending cooler.
