Mostly dry with bright intervals on Thursday. Breezy.

Today:

For many it will be a dry day and mostly cloudy but with some bright or sunny intervals. Showers possible over Caithness and Sutherland but these easing through the day. Light winds to start, turning breezy near coasts later. Maximum temperature 6 °C.

Tonight:

Mostly dry and cloudy through the evening and overnight with clear intervals and the odd shower over Caithness. Light rain possible for South Uist later in night. Wind strengthening overnight. Minimum temperature 1 °C.

Friday:

A mostly cloudy day with some outbreaks of rain. Rain mainly over the Isles and far north with other parts staying largely dry. Strong winds at first easing later. Maximum temperature 6 °C.

Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

Mostly cloudy over the weekend with rain at times, which may be heavy. Monday will be drier with some brighter spells possible. Mostly light winds throughout.
